Your product. Your decisions. Bring in a scan, position real components, and work toward the next physical build.
Characters, mechanisms, bottling equipment — one workspace for the product in front of you.
Capture the shape. Confirm its scale.
Section, place and compare.
Resolve the precise interfaces.
Test one fit. Then build further.

A PRACTICAL TOOLKIT
Start in the studio. Add a specialist tool when a particular surface, feature or fit calls for it.

Start with a simplified STEP for bearings, shafts, collars, actuators and brackets. Keep the supplier part number with it.
For turning a selected scan region into a useful fitted surface or CAD feature. Start with the vendor’s trial.
Use the SolidWorks companion for supported native operations. Onshape is an alternative to evaluate for browser-based CAD editing.
Keep your tools together: QUICKSURFACE, the SOLIDWORKS companion and a readiness check for your current PC or a proposed GO3D host.
Try Geomagic Design X if the same test region needs a more involved reverse-engineering workflow. Compare it with QUICKSURFACE using the same scan, alignment and tolerance. Keep NURBS fitting local to the surfaces that need it; retain the scan for visual reference.
Choose the result that produces the required fit with manageable file size and editing time. A whole-model conversion can add complexity without helping the next build.
