Select. Export. Download.

One short exercise, followed by tools you can explore when you need them.

EXPORTUX2 guide for the current public review beta. Prototype and SolidWorks target acceptance remain pending. Manufacturing HOLD.

First: download one part

You can try this without changing a cut or saving a new project.

  1. Choose Head. Use Selection above the model. Confirm that it says Head.
  2. Choose Export. Use the button beside Selection, or the Export tool tab. Check the displayed part name.
  3. Choose your file format. For a quick mesh review, choose STL · review mesh. Choose Generate export when offered. An existing matching result may already have Download available.
  4. Wait for Ready, then Download. Find the file in your browser’s Downloads. On iPhone, open Files → Downloads, or the folder selected in Safari settings. An STL is a review mesh; it is not automatically print-ready.

Next: change a cut and keep your design

After the first download, use Design → Section to adjust a cut. Inspect the part and keep side in the model. Choose a saved cut by name when you export it. Every changed cut needs its own matching result; a prepared S01 file does not include your edits.

Choose Save complete project separately to request a .go3d.json copy. Check that file exists in Downloads or Files before closing the app. Use Open complete project to reopen it. Saving a project does not submit a processing job or generate CAD. Physical iPhone save/reopen testing is still pending.

FormatWhat you get
STEPGenerate a capped faceted STEP review solid from the selected C01 part or saved cut. The download is checked against that exact revision. Large or complex cuts can exceed the beta limits. Automatic Drive storage is separate. SolidWorks 2021 acceptance remains pending.
STLActual selected mesh clipped at your current planes. Browser exports add no caps. The report identifies open edges; review meshes are not print-ready.
DXFActual section intersections as 3D LINE entities in original source XYZ, in millimetres. Open the section with units set to mm. These are contour lines, not a solid.
NURBSAdvanced Surface / NURBS tools fit a local patch and export a STEP sheet with a fit report. A fitted patch is not a finished, closed character solid.
Project / JSONSaved design intent and, for complete projects, loaded review geometry. Saving does not submit a job or create CAD.

The older short lessons show earlier layouts. The recorded Beer Man walkthrough also includes an exact-region export chapter. Use the steps on this page for current control names; a recording is not evidence of acceptance on your device.
