The workspace brings the Beer Man review workflow into one place. This page explains which tools run now, how to request a change, and which workstation connections still need setup and acceptance testing.

Guided workflows

GO3D MAKER kit and B-code

Visual presets, tool information, expanded help and optional idle guidance help you choose a next step. Check “Skip — let me drive” to disable proactive prompts.

B-code reviews a bounded sequence of supported selections, cut movements, checkpoints, saves and exports. Export recovery proposes a next action when a check fails. Maker kit · B-code guide.

Browser tools

Design and review

View the source scan, define supported cuts, place components with datum or surface alignment, organize layers, make review drawings, and use supported sketch and modeling operations.

Component placement is rigid positioning. Mechanical mates, anatomical joints and physical motion studies require additional engineering work.

Saved progress

Checkpoints and Dual Sense

Save a project, reopen it, and branch into independent A/B routes. Revision-linked reviews and supported cloud histories preserve the discussion.

Keep a complete project download for imported geometry. Browser-local branch geometry is not automatically mirrored to Google Drive.

Hosted service

Review exports

The supported C01 selected-region workflow produces bounded review STEP exports. Local NURBS patch fitting can produce a tested surface sheet.

A surface sheet or faceted review solid is not an automatically reconstructed whole-character parametric CAD model. Review the export workflow.

Guidance and intake

A hideable GO3D buddy

Ask “What’s next?”, choose a goal and follow a short plan. Show me opens the matching tool. Hide, pause or resume the companion across the workspace and its review, training and request pages.

Published guidance is available without an AI response. Hosted AI can answer follow-up questions when available. Design changes and submitted requests retain their existing review steps.

Mobile workspace

Full screen and thumb controls

Display options include clean screen, auto-hide tools, and camera joysticks for rotation, panning and zoom. The controls move the view; existing design controls move parts and cuts.

Show tools and Exit full screen remain available. Browsers without native full-screen support retain their address and navigation bars. Physical iPhone acceptance is still a separate check.

Preferences and activity

Your setup and intended goal

Save your display preferences, review recorded tool activity, and explain or correct what you intended. Settings and the buddy show local and private-profile save status.

Private profile access uses Bill’s existing editor invitation. Recording starts off and requires opt-in; it can be turned off at any time. Tool observations help guide the workflow; they do not prove a design succeeded or train a new AI model. Optional approximate location requires a separate choice and browser permission. From an idea to a published change

  1. Submit and receive a saved receipt.Include the part, current revision, desired result and priority.
  2. Edit or cancel before your cutoff.Requests collect into hourly windows. A request sent just before the hour has a shorter review window; this is not a guaranteed sixty-minute delay.
  3. The hourly batch becomes ready for development. The server preserves a fixed snapshot. If you need to change it afterward, copy the edit into a new request for the next batch.
  4. A development worker takes one job. After project review accepts a request, an available, authorized worker can take one job. The queue distinguishes waiting from work actually in progress.
  5. Check the result, then publish.A completed change needs validation and an identifiable revision. A queued request is not a published feature.

Worker availability is shown in Hourly requests. Automatic AI implementation is not enabled by the batch scheduler.

Connections under development

Desktop acceptance pending

Live SolidWorks

The existing companion is designed for a paired viewer on the same computer as SolidWorks. Its installed behavior must be checked on Bill’s workstation.

Phone-to-desktop part movement needs a secure remote bridge, reliable state synchronization, and native application testing. It is not a verified live capability today. Current companion setup.

Workstation pairing pending

Dragon Fire

The current worker package supports CPU mesh inspection. The Builder records Cloud, Dragon Fire or A/B processing preferences.

GPU reconstruction, HDR processing, automatic Drive mirroring and measured speed improvements still require implementation and testing. Dragon Fire is a local processing environment, not a self-hosted ChatGPT Pro model. Worker scope and setup.

Engineering validation pending

Whole-character production

Whole-character CAD reconstruction, anatomical mechanisms and all-character parallel production remain development goals.

Each printable model needs its own checks for shape, scale, closure, thickness, fit and approval. A delivery date requires measured jobs and confirmed scope.

Separate execution needed

Unattended development

Saved requests and hourly batching run on the hosted application, independently of an open ChatGPT Work session.

An AI coding worker needs its own available execution environment and model access. A zero Work allowance does not create extra AI capacity. The queue keeps requests while that worker is unavailable.

Practical questions

Can I use the app while Eddie is away or out of Work usage?

Yes. Published browser tools, guide materials and the hosted request queue operate separately from this conversation. Hosted AI and processing services have their own availability and resource limits. No live development is implied just because the website is open.

Does “32 GB memory” mean graphics memory?

System RAM and GPU video memory are separate. Current SOLIDWORKS guidance lists 16 GB system RAM and recommends 32 GB, with certified graphics hardware separately. Larger projects can need more; check the actual workload before buying parts. An 8 GB GPU is not the same as an 8 GB system. Official system requirements.

Will an update preserve my active work?

The workspace checks and saves supported state before its update flow. Save a complete project before switching versions or machines, especially with imported geometry. A browser checkpoint does not prove that a native CAD session or every imported file has been migrated.

What counts as an approved engineering file?

Review outputs help examine a design. Artwork and likeness approval, native CAD acceptance, scale and fit checks, and manufacturing approval are distinct decisions. Google Drive remains the authoritative engineering repository. Manufacturing HOLD remains until the required approvals are recorded.
