LIBRARYZIP1 · prototype progress, not final training
Model with your hands.
Tap a part to select it. Tap empty model space to hide camera and section controls without changing the cut. Hold the model for half a second to open its tools; on desktop, right-click. Moving your finger cancels the hold so you can keep rotating or using two-finger pan and pinch.
Camera joysticks appear on touch devices. Rotate and Pan change only your view. They hide after four seconds without use; tap Camera controls to bring them back. After an empty-space tap, they stay hidden until you ask for them. To keep all camera buttons hidden after reopening, open View options (the three dots beside Export) and check Keep camera controls hidden. Uncheck it there to restore them. Drag, pinch and the top Fit button still work. View options also lets you show the joysticks on desktop.
On mobile, Tools now opens the existing controls with the model instead of sending you down the page. In portrait the controls sit below the model; in landscape they sit beside it. The panel scrolls independently.
- Tools contains the current scan, section, component and surface controls.
- Export shows files for the current selection. Generating or downloading a file still requires its own action.
- Hide tools gives the model more room. Show tools brings the panel back.
- Back to page restores your page position and the same controls, with your edits intact.
Import a library from a ZIP
- Open Design → Import library ZIP, then Choose ZIP or component files. The normal Choose files button also accepts ZIPs.
- Review the file list. Check only the parts you want and confirm each STL’s units. STEP files retain their source units.
- Choose Import selected files. Each file shows whether it loaded, already exists, or needs attention. Other components can finish if one fails.
- Choose Download this library ZIP to keep the imported original files with their units and checksums. Use Back to model to select a library card and preview its placement.
The wizard accepts up to 128 selected components / 100 MB at once. STEP files over 50 MB use the existing large assembly importer after extraction. A multibody STEP is one library item unless you extract individual bodies. Native SolidWorks files need the paired local companion; unrelated documents and nested ZIPs are not imported. The six-part example uses existing character review meshes, not production mechanical hardware.
Importing components does not place them or change the current cut. Save complete project separately for design recovery. Keep original supplier files in Drive. Physical iPhone file-picker acceptance remains pending.
What is not yet complete
Supported C01 selections can request a checked faceted review STEP through the existing processor. Automatic Drive publication and native CAD acceptance remain separate. The available review STL may be open and is not print-ready. Physical iPhone 14 Pro and SolidWorks 2021 acceptance remain pending. No computer-control or manufacturing approval is implied.
Artwork/model approval → Bill’s final cuts and engineering → manufacturing planning. Manufacturing HOLD.
