# Returning redlines in the R12 beta

The current Bud’Lite companion prepares a local feedback JSON. **It does not upload a photograph, create a server receipt, start reconstruction or approve a print.** The “Take a photo” control uses the browser’s file/camera picker where supported; it is not a released iPhone scanner or App Store application.

## Paper to feedback

1. Check the character, drawing sheet and revision before marking.
2. Use red ink for proposed seams and corrections. Use highlighter for moving groups, labeling each group. Clearly label FIXED / PROTECTED regions separately. Number clearance questions and add a legend if you use any additional mark or color.
3. Photograph the complete sheet with its title/revision visible. Add a closer photo of any ambiguous mark. Avoid glare and shadows that hide the marks.
4. Select the matching character in Bud’Lite. Attach the JPEG, PNG or PDF. Write what each mark means and state any measured dimensions explicitly.
5. Save locally and export the JSON. Return it through the agreed project correspondence. Receipt must be confirmed separately.

Each character accepts at most three attachments of at most 2 MiB each. Image previews must decode completely and stay within 24 megapixels. A PDF is retained as a local attachment rather than embedded as active page content. Export records include the original attachment bytes and SHA-256 values. A checksum verifies byte identity, not the truth or completeness of the drawing interpretation.

## Future direct return

An automatic receipt/photo service is a separate development task. Before enabling one, its adapter must bind this exact review package, character, original/working source hashes, exact sheet/PDF revision, author, structured engineering inputs and attachment hashes. It must validate access, save atomically, issue a receipt, and reopen the stored bytes to verify delivery. No existing endpoint or delivery capability is promised by this prototype.

Future LiDAR, ProRAW, photo-to-3D interpretation or scanning requires development and testing. A redline photo alone does not establish dimensions, axis placement or validated cut geometry. Keep manufacturing HOLD until the exact-revision Fredericksburg client comment and Eddie’s final high-resolution model inspection/release are complete.
